GAN Integrity started in Copenhagen in 2004, not as a software company looking for a market, but as a compliance practice that saw the same problem everywhere it worked. The technology came later. The conviction came first.

The compliance expertise did not follow the technology. The technology followed twenty years of working inside the hardest compliance problems in the world.

Founded in Copenhagen on a single conviction

GAN Integrity is established with a founding mission: help organizations do business with integrity. The founding team brings deep anti-bribery and anti-corruption expertise, working with multinationals operating in high-risk jurisdictions.

ABAC and third-party due diligence as the core

For eight years, GAN builds its practice around the hardest part of compliance: managing the risk that travels through your third parties, your agents and your business partners in markets where corruption risk is highest. Country risk intelligence becomes a signature asset.

From practice to the GAN Integrity platform

The compliance knowledge accumulated over eight years shapes the first technology platform. The sequence matters: the platform reflects what compliance teams actually need, built by people who have run compliance programs, not by engineers who read about them.

Global enterprise compliance programs at scale

GAN Integrity becomes the platform of record for compliance programs at complex global enterprises in extractives, manufacturing, life sciences and aerospace. The customer base grows across Europe, the Americas and Asia-Pacific.

Supply chain due diligence and the regulatory wave

CSDDD, LkSG, UFLPA and S-211 drive a fundamental shift in what compliance teams are asked to manage. GAN Integrity extends into supply chain due diligence, giving compliance leaders a connected view across TPRM, ethics and supply chain obligations in a single system of record.

Apax Global Impact Fund investment

Series C growth investment led by Apax Global Impact Fund, with participation from Aquiline Technology Growth. AGI is a dedicated impact fund, closed at approximately $900 million. GAN Integrity is one of only four companies in the inaugural portfolio. Apax's diligence concluded that the platform directly drives positive corporate behavior. An impact thesis, not just a financial one.

GAN Integrity is recognized in the Gartner Magic Quadrant and named a Smart Innovator by Verdantix, with market-leading functionality in five of eleven core TPRM capabilities evaluated across 150 vendors. The platform now covers TPRM, COI, gifts and entertainment, policy management, ABAC and supply chain due diligence.

That is the sentence we were founded on and the sentence we still use. Not a tagline. Not a positioning statement. The actual reason the company exists.

Corruption is not an abstract risk. It funds conflict, undermines democratic institutions and crowds out legitimate business. When a compliance program fails, the consequences are not just financial. They are human. Our job is to give compliance professionals the platform they need to run a program that genuinely works, not one that generates the appearance of compliance without the substance.

Copenhagen is not an accident. Denmark consistently ranks among the least corrupt nations in the world. The Corruption Perceptions Index has placed it at or near the top for twenty years. That is not a coincidence of geography. It reflects a cultural orientation toward transparency, institutional accountability and the rule of law.

GAN Integrity was built in that environment, by practitioners who believed that compliance done well is not a cost center but a competitive advantage. The European regulatory tradition, direct and precise, is embedded in how the company thinks, writes and builds product.

Today GAN Integrity operates globally, with customers in over fifty countries. The Copenhagen headquarters remains the center of the compliance intelligence function, country risk research and product development. The origin informs everything we build.
