Tom Hardin, CEO, Tipper X Advisors
Tom Hardin began his career as a hedge fund analyst before his involvement in an insider trading case led him to a pivotal decision. In 2008, he entered into a cooperation agreement with the Department of Justice, becoming one of the most prolific informants in securities fraud history under the codename “Tipper X.”
His cooperation was instrumental in the success of “Operation Perfect Hedge,” the largest insider trading investigation of its time, contributing to more than 20 of the 80+ convictions. After resolving his case in 2015, Tom was invited by the FBI to share his frontline perspective with its new agents.
