It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jens Berthelsen. He will be sorely missed by all at GAN, not only for his work ethic and drive to succeed but also for his passion for life, his humour and his willingness to help in any way he could. Jens was always happy to offer advice and guidance and to share his knowledge on anti-corruption and on life more generally. We will continue his excellent work, but we will miss him as a colleague, as a mentor and as a friend. Our thoughts are with his family.
Jens founded GAN Integrity Solutions in 2004 and initiated the Business Anti-Corruption Portal in 2006. He assisted companies, governments, multilateral organisations and civil society organisations in developing and implementing anti-corruption programmes. He was a member of the ICC Anti-bribery Commission and the Business and Industry Advisory Committee Taskforce on Anti-Corruption, and was a Board Member of Transparency International Denmark. He was also a renowned human rights advocate.
